Some notes on Lamron Tyler Gable's status as a fictional character

As much as a "protagonist" (Please note the usage of quotation marks as a rhetorical device to enhance the standard quality of the quoted noun being referred to.) is an oft-recurring character in a literary work whose narrator sides with or does not side or is or is not but yet nonetheless focuses on as a primary individual, Lamron T. Gable is a pseudoprotagonist. In some ways, he's an ancillary character noticing the great wide world around him. All his experiences within the book are recounted as if his experiencing them is like how one experiences a dream, waiting for something to happen. Nothing ever happens, really. He keeps spectating, mostly silent with intent. His intent is to understand everything, but not in how a traditional hypothetically sound or common person would normally come to understand something. Lamron's root system of engagement, so to speak, is altogether different. His roots not only avoid the most direct source of water for the purpose of absorption, they shoot directly out of the earth so as to see what exactly they're connected to and understand what everything is and what makes it that and what makes that that, etc., all the while dying of thirst. This analogy should be used in the book, maybe.
          Lamron and Martha's relationship ends with a shallow last few words:

"We are and always will be very good friends."

"I don't think I want that, exactly."

"Oh gosh, Lamron--you know what you're doing to me."

"I know, I'm sorry."

"Don't be. This is all for the best. You will get over this, OK?"

"OK."

This acts as a symbol for the kind of spectatorial passivity with which Lamron experiences everything in his life, even his own actions. The Abstract Wall's take on Lamron's solving the Apple Tree memos as a kind of a joke because he himself doesn't know why exactly he's doing it or what purpose it serves. But it's like the ABRACADABRA triangles are calling him, I suppose. Lamron is exactly what he doesn't want to be and ends up fighting: the product of his environment.

An Intro for the Self--the Reader

Not having body heat would seem gross. I think we, being the same person, can at least agree on that. Not having body heat would be gross as opposed to having body heat. So, whenever you sit down and find that your seat is warm, don't for one moment feel that you're gross. You're not. You're human.

         Hello, Self. It's been no time at all. This is your archival storage space for the many things within BAPKTIOSL It's a fractured novel (w/r/t timelines and such), and so therefore this archival blog will be on the whole fractured--nothing apart from individual posts will be in place, more than likely. That's all I can really think to say, at the moment. I think it'd be interesting to discuss Vol. I. primarily.1
